Man to Man
An 8-week pilot group to canvass some issues relevant to a new generation of men
Who: Men aged 25-40 years
What: An informal discussion and support group, where men can reduce their sense of isolation and form new friendships. Participants can draw on the experiences and insights of group members, and discuss issues relevant to them in a safe and trusting environment.
Key issues to be explored:
- Identity - "Who am I"
- Gender stereotypes
- Personality types
- Dealing with Relationships
- Letting go of the past
- Anger - some root causes
- Boundaries in relationships
- Conflict resolution
When: 8 weeks commencing Wednesday 21 November 2008 (with a view to run similar groups in 2008)
Where: Meeting weekly in a Surry Hills café - date, time and location to be advised
The "Man to Man" discussion group with be facilitated by Grant Wills. Grant has had many years' experience facilitating men's groups in South Australia and in New South Wales.
